(Salt Lake City-Nov. 15, 2007) Andrea Moore-Emmett's indictment of Mormon fundamentalist polygamy, God's Brothel, has topped Amazon.com's Bestseller lists for the past six weeks.
Currently the book ranks #3 in the category of Fundamentalism, #3 in Gender & Equality and #48 in
Women's Studies. Pince-Nez Press, the book's publisher, says that the surge in sales likely is
attributed to the Warren Jeff's trial and conviction and the polygamist past of presidential hopeful Mitt
Romney. "People are interested in all aspects of polygamy, especially learning about it from people who
have left," says Susan Vogel, Publisher.
God's Brothel has received worldwide attention, including feature articles in the UK's The Guardian,
and Germany's der Spiegel, and author appearances on CNN and Fox.

Christopher Bigelow Kimball and Paul Browning appeared on Park City TV on October 24!
Release Party: Thursday, November 16, at 7 p.m. at Sam Weller's Zion Bookstore, 354 So. Main Street, SLC
This party included a surprise appearance of a Utah Valley housewife who grabbed the microphone to complain about stereotypes. Well, okay, it was one of our (unnamed, male) authors in a wig and apron. The food competition was stiff and the winners deserving. The Browning family won the jello competition with a heinous- colored jello brain. Made of kiwi flavored jello it actually tasted good if you could get past the fact that you were eating a brain. The yummy selection of funeral potatoes were going to be tough to judge until the appearance of a mystery casserole submission arriving in a padded, thermal pack with a calligraphed label and a sterling silver server. Maybe a bit fancy for a Mormon buffet, but author Eric Samuelson deemed cookbook author Marguerite Henderson's chicken casserole the overwhelming winner. Marguerite won a trip to Moab!

Authors Mary Ann Parkinson and Robert Eckman and representatives of Rocky Mountain Rescue Dogs appeared on Park City TV on October 11 at 6 p.m.
Oct. 7 (2 p.m.): The authors and four rescue dogs and their humans spoke at the launch party for the book at The King's English. These heroic dogs and their humans were awe-inspiring. Speakers for Rocky Mountain Rescue Dogs included Barbara Altum and Kozi, Mindy Badovinatz and Rottiki, Dave Richards and Cowboy, Stephanie Ingman and Jake, and Nancy Hochmeister, who spoke of her dog, Ivey, to whom the book is dedicated. The event was standing room only and raised money for Rocky Mountain Rescue Dogs. it was a sight to see these dogs, some of which weigh more than 100 pounds - paw-print the books - some of their paw prints took up a whole page! (Below is Cowboy, a rescue dog with the highest certifications, that worked at 9/11 and Hurricane Katrina. He is FEMA-certified. His human is Dave Richards.)

The Deseret Morning News covered this event (Rocky, our "biker pooch" had his picture on the front page!). Check out the fabulous photos: http://deseretnews.com/dn/view/1%2C1249%2C650197247%2C00.html
